Ask Me A Question

The thought of someone seeing my words and wanting to read more is so gratifying. Please feel free to tell me how my experience can help. I have lots of tricks. Ask me a Question. If I can answer I will, but know it is just one possible answer not the answer. I learn my system not others.

  1. Dear Mike,
Thank you again. I am sharing your blog with many of the parents of children who I work with. Your insights are so appreciated. I have tried so many times to explain things like why stimming is important, but your words express this so much more clearly than I can. Thank you.
Here is my question: Do you ever experience springtime as a challenging time of year? Some children who I work with seem to have been more stressed over the past month or so. It seems to happen this time of year. Do you have any helpful suggestions? Again, I can't say thank you enough.

  2. Dear Mike,
Thank you so very much for sharing all of your experiences so openly. I am a speech therapist and friend of Tina's. Your words have provided so much insight for me in both confirmations of what I may have done right for some and areas where your teachings are welcomed treasures. I have read over your blog and the communication question came up a few times, but I am wondering how you are typing. Is it through facilitated communication or are you able to type independently? How did this medium of communication evolve for you?

I feel so fortunate to be able to learn from you. Thank you.

  3. Hello Mike,
Thanks you so much for sharing your amazing writing. You taught me a great deal about yourself. I often facilitate professional development for teachers and parents. I'd like to know if I can share your writing to help others learn more about you. Thanks so much for your willingness to share.

  4. Therese,
Yes. Thank you. It is a good thing. Anything that fuels discussion on alternate attitudes is good.

  5. I am wondering... I have a 5 year old that was given the label pddnos. What ever that really means. I think it means they have no idea. my son is non verbal. He speaks a little to get his needs met. But not alot. So I guess my question is in your opinion does he understand the things I am saying at all? is he just ignoring me? Does he actually love me?? All harsh and unintelligent questions maybe but autism confuses me. I dont understand. which is sad cause that means I dont understand that part of my son.
